We pride ourselves on striking a great balance, between both social and competitive golf. There are plenty of opportunities, both during the week and at weekends for a 'social knock-around' or something a little more competitive.
In terms of competitions we tend to run the following year-round:
* Monday - Seniors domestic competitions / matches
* Wednesday - Stableford (sign up and play on the day)
* Friday - Mixed Stableford (sign up and play on the day)
* Saturday - Mixed Stableford (sign up and play on the day)
* Sunday - Stableford (sign up and play on the day)
This, coupled with the opportunity to represent the Club in our inter-club leagues or even at County level caters for everybody!
This year, we are proud to have won the following of note:
* Sussex County Golf's Scratch Team Knockout Trophy (the Wellesley)
(having also won the trophy in 2023).
* Sussex County Golf's Handicap Team Knockout Trophy.
* Mid Sussex League and Finals Day.
We are proud to have a thriving Ladies' Section within the Club.
Our Ladies tend to play their domestic competitions on Tuesdays and Sundays. However, there are also opportunities to take part in our 'mixed' stablefords most Fridays and Saturdays.
The Club has embraced England Golf's 'Women in Golf' initiative and run a series of introductory sessions throughout the year, with a view to encouraging new participation in the game.
As well as golf, there's also a lovely social scene, with several '9 & dine' evenings run through the main playing season, an annual celebration evening, away days and away breaks to take part in.
Last but by no means least, our Ladies take part in Sussex County Ladies Golf Associations numerous competitions, including the various Divisional matches. In 2023, we won the 'Trio Trophy' and this year were runners-up in SCLGA's Division 1.
